We have taken the time to list all the restaurants both on and off the mountain that we think are worth paying a visit in Kitzbuhel, many of which we have had the pleasure of eating in.
Centro
If you are looking for a change from Austrian food, Centro is a fantastic little Italian restaurant.
The location is very central and easy to get to from your hotel.
They offer a variety of Italian food to meet all the family needs, but we would recommend the amazing stone oven pizzas and bread, which are prepared by skilful locals.
The pizzas are incredibly reasonably priced so perfect if you are low on money at the end of the holiday.
Pano
Pano is the perfect place for a little treat before heading off to the mountains in the morning/afternoon.
You can expect a fantastic breakfast, fresh coffee and light lunches from friendly staff with efficient service.
If you come off the mountain, this is worth a visit, but get here before 12 as it is only small and trendy.
Barrique
This place has a large selection of tasty homemade pizzas, pasta dishes, and steaks.
From their experience there we would recommend the specials such as the seafood risotto, tuna carpaccio, marinated anchovies and fish soup stew… take me back!
Make sure you try some of the Austrian red as you will be surprised how good it is.
Watch out France!
The Kupferstube
If it’s a special occasion or you fancy treating yourself, the five-star Hotel Tennerhof has the best cuisine in town.
The gooseberry and buttermilk soup with baked lobster is to die for!
The Alpbachertal trout with Champagne foam and Osietra caviar is also worth the experience.
It isn’t cheap but it is so good you’ll feel you’ve had value for money.
