Tignes Nightlife

The Marmot Arms

Pitching itself as ‘everyone’s favourite local’, The Marmot Arms seems to live up to its self-appointed reputation. Right at the bottom of the Palafour chairlift, you have easy access from the slopes.

Serving hearty breakfasts, burger focussed lunches and surprisingly tasty dinners the place turns into a buzzing apres ski session as the slopes close. The DJs come out for the night sets.

Beers, burgers, friendly staff, live music and plenty of laughter – if that sounds up your street then this could be the spot for you.

The Loop Bar

Loop Bar

In a ski in, ski out position at the bottom of the Trolles slope, loop bar has a huge sunny terrace with bustling apres sessions.

It’s the place to head if you fancy a bit of live music, with plenty of big party nights with live bands and DJs. Live music generally starts around 16:30 ish.

Plus there are 4 big screens showing all the sport you could wish for. A top tip would be to get a loop card if you plan on visiting a couple of times. You can get 10% credit on top of what you spend. Free round anyone?

Couloir

couloir

Up in Val Claret, Couloir has some great apres sessions with plenty of live music. Prices are very affordable, especially if you hit happy hour between 4pm and 6pm.

It’s a great atmosphere and a buzzing bar, plus if you get peckish you can head upstairs to the restaurant they have there. We haven’t personally sampled the food but we hear of some rave reviews. Only a good sign.

Alpaca Cocktail Bar

Located in Tignes Le Lac, this bar opens its doors early for après ski and most people tend to head there for happy ‘hour’ between 4 pm and 6 pm. Over 100 tempting cocktails feature on the menu, which also includes a collection of malts and the famous Mutzig larger. The bar also shows most of the major sporting events on big screen TVs, which tends to draw the crowds in.

La Palette de Boulele

This is a lovely wine bar which stocks a huge array of regional products. It’s a great place to go for drinks if you are looking to sample some of the local wines and have a drink in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

Le Saloon

Tignes Apres Ski

Le Saloon is situated in Val Claret and is open daily from 11 am to 1:30 am. It is a stylish cocktail bar that also shows all major sporting events and even has theme nights. The bar not only serves a huge range of cocktails but has a great games area with a couple of pool tables and tends to attract the crowds early on.

Le TC’s

Situated in the heart of Le Lavachet, TC’s is busy all day, with people coming in for happy hour drinks during après and not leaving until much later in the evening. The bar shows sports and has live music a couple of nights a week. A regular DJ keeps everyone on the dance floor until late into the evening. They serve a wide selection of drinks, but they are perhaps best known for their eclectic selection of beers.
