Chiens de Traineux provide dog sledding for the dog lovers.

You can book a ride or you can find the dogs in the centre of Avoriaz and ask for a ride.

Half a day will cost €95 and a full day will cost €140.

By strapping lightweight plastic snowshoes to your feet, you are able to walk through deeper snow and therefore enjoy a great area of terrain, stunning scenery and interesting wildlife.

You can go with a local guide and explore hidden parts of the valley.

Snow shoes can be hired from most sports shops.

Although you can always grab a trail map and head off on your own, we do advise hiring a guide for maximum safety and enjoyment.

With ESF (Ecole de Ski Francais), anyone from age 8 onwards can enjoy the calm away from the slopes.

An afternoon of snowshoeing will cost €28 per person.

Swimming

Ice Skating

Go and watch the Morzine Penguins play at the Palais des Sports – a great night out, only costing around €13 per adult.

Night sledging

This is a great family activity, one can hire the sledges from local ski hire shops, and zoom down the floodlit Plenney piste wearing a head torch
