To top it off you can sit in the quirkily themed Igloo room, need we say more. Pizza in an Igloo, tick.

Chez Kiki – Morel Meribel

Chez Kiki - Morel Meribel
Chez Kiki – Morel Meribel

Lauriane and David have taken on this Méribel institution, known for its cosy, warm and typically alpine atmosphere, and made into their own. Their specialities are steaks grilled over the open fire and good home cooking.

Traditions live on at Kiki’s, centred on the restaurant’s open fireplace. For the past 20 years, the Chef has been choosing the very best cuts of French meat, while Lauriane creates starters, familiar dishes, sauces and (her speciality) desserts.

Kiki Restaurant offers 3 dining rooms, 3 open fireplaces and 3 different atmospheres, all in a typical Savoyard chalet at the heart of the Méribel valley. We recommend to try their famous 1kg+ Prime Rib of Beef, grilled on the fire. Discover their wine list with its wide choice of one hundred carefully selected wines, ranging from small producers to famous vintages. Should you need it, they are happy to offer advice on choosing the right wine. To finish, don’t forget to order Kiki Restaurant’s sweet speciality: Savoy Apple Tart Flambéed in Calvados Brandy… Delicious!

Le Cro Magnon – Le Plateau, Meribel

Popular with the locals and for Meribel’s regular holidayers, this place is slightly more expensive than the average – however, there is no lack of charm here and the decor is romantic and cosy with a heart theme.

You can expect typical French cuisine on the menu along with veal kidneys and sea bass – some of the food is quite rich (but you are in France), so stay away if that is not your thing.
