We have put together a list of the restaurants that we think are worth paying a visit – they all stand out for their own reasons. This small and cosy restaurant is located in Villars in Arc 1800.

The owners are particularly welcoming and there are plenty of typical Savoyard dishes on the menu, such as fondue and raclette, as well as some excellent puddings including Tarte Tatin and boozy crème brulée!

Perfect for a romantic dinner out.

This gem of a restaurant is certainly a little off the beaten track but is well worth a visit if you are staying in the Plan Peisey area. A handwritten menu and individually decorated tables all add to the restaurant’s enchanting ambience. An eclectic menu includes hearty home-cooked dishes such as game terrines, wild boar and duck, as well as fish dishes and some excellent puddings.

There is also a terrace where you can soak up the sun. People travel from miles around to visit L’Ancolie so be sure to book in advance.

This is a laid-back restaurant that serves great burgers and pizzas. If you are not looking for fine dining but are simply looking for a good value, family-friendly option then this is a brilliant restaurant to go to. The menu has something for everyone and is very reasonably priced. The restaurant is located in the heart of Arc 2000.

This is a luxurious Parisian-style brasserie situated at Arc 1950. French brasserie classics on the menu include oysters, steaks, Sole Meuniere and crème brulée. There is also a good selection of wines from all over France. If you are prepared to spend a little more and are looking for a classic French meal then this is a lovely restaurant to treat yourselves to.
