The Best Avoriaz Apres Ski Bars

Discover the best Avoriaz apres ski!

We have taken it upon ourselves to sample the greatest Avoriaz apres ski bars and produce a detailed list of the ones that we would recommend going to; they each stand out for their own reasons, but you better go and test a few to see which you like best… If you are staying in an apartment in Avoriaz, this guide will show you the best places to eat & drink or if you are staying in a hotel, this guide will give you a little extra to sample in the resort.

A growing freestyle reputation and the annual Snowboxx festival are bringing a younger crowd to the traditionally family friendly resort. And with the opening of a Folie Douce on the slopes above the village the apres reputation of Avoriaz is set to kick up a gear.

La Folie Douce

MERCI ❤️.THANK YOU ❤️

Posted by La Folie Douce Avoriaz on Monday, 17 December 2018

Opening for the 2018-19 winter season, Folie Douce lies up by the Yak bar at the top of the town. Great food by day and it comes alive from around 3pm till 6:30pm with their infamous apres ‘shows’.

Head to the sunny terrace for some rosé sloshing dance mayhem. It may not be the cheapest option on the mountain but it is probably the best party atmosphere and well worth calling in to let your hair down. A grain of madness in Avoriaz.

Le Tavaillon

Le Tavaillon apres ski bar, Avoriaz

An English style pub in the centre of the resort with a heated patio, this place is a great place to go for a chat with friends over a few well-priced drinks.

It is a quieter option but still retains a pub atmosphere with quizzes and sports (including the football). Click here to find out more about Avoriaz.

JaJa Bar

A very chic bar, a lovely alternative to the livelier apres bars. Ran by a friendly couple, Agathe & Adrien, JaJa has a refined atmosphere. Complimented by the simplicity of great food and great wine/champagne.

The quieter, more sophisticated apres option.

Le Shooters

Shooters bar - avoriaz apres ski

There is always a party atmosphere in this popular establishment, with drinks flying and over 50 flavours of shot to choose from.

The speciality drink is the Les Metres des Shooters.

Happy Hour is between 4 and 5 pm, followed by a second round between 8 and 9 pm – this is a great bar to let loose.

The Place

The Place - Avoriaz apres bar

A Danish bar with live music each afternoon and evening.

They feature a different band each evening and the crowd here are very lively.

It is easy to spend your week’s evenings here, enjoying fun-filled post skiing partying.

They post regular updates of bands playing and special offers on their Facebook page, so take a peek if you’re in resort.

Le Yak

A popular French club and a fantastic end to your evening if you are looking for a late night party.

The nightclub is great, although the music can be cheesy at times and drinks tend to be quite expensive.

The club is open until 2 am, so come here a little later in the evening.

Le Globe Trotters Cafe

Globe-Trotters-Cafe-avoriaz-apres-ski

This cafe/bar is a warm and pleasant place to spend an afternoon or evening whilst soaking up the sun on the large sun terrace. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner with a lively apres scene on top.

A great place to chill out with concerts, live DJs and themed evenings until 2am.

Drinks prices are better than most in this establishment and you can taste a selection of great wines from all over the world.

Le Chapka

A warm, friendly and festive bar with a more relaxed atmosphere – if you are not up for a big night on the tiles, come here to socialise with friends over a game of darts or pool, whilst watching the latest sporting events on the many televisions.

La Caverne (Morzine)

If you fancy a change of scene, ski down to Morzine and revel in the delights of this après ski bar with great DJs and bands and a fantastic atmosphere…and a long happy hour!

Have one last drink here before getting the last bus back to Avoriaz at 7.45pm or gondola at 8 pm.
