Top 5 Easy Access Ski Resorts

1. Chamonix, France

Closest Airport?

Geneva Airport, 100km, 1 hour 15 minutes.

Why Ski Chamonix?

‘The capital of the Alps’ and off-piste mecca. Sitting at the base of Mont Blanc, Chamonix has six large ski areas spread across the Chamonix valley.

Chamonix has six different ski areas which mean there is something for everything however it is quite a rugged resort with less (and older) lifts than many other resorts in the Alps, leaving much of the mountain untouched by pistes.

There is a slight lack of beginner pistes and an abundance of steep skiing meaning it may not be the ideal destination for beginners.

Best Ski Runs

GREEN – Ilbellules (Flegere) – A gentle steady slope with a fun park next to the slope

BLUE – Bechat Esserts (Le Tour) – Lovely run as you descend down into the trees

RED – Cornu (Brevent) – The perfect run to lap all day with slope side jumps

BLACK – Pointe de Vue – No powder day is complete without the Grands Montet Lift
