This is one for the meat lovers. Here you can choose your delicious meat and watch it grill on an open fire. You can smell the food before you walk through the door. It is hidden away on the cross country loop north of the Grandes Rousses (DMC) Gondola (mid-station) and reached by a special piste – Boulevard des Lacs. Well worth the visit!

La Folie Douce Alpe d’Huez is the place to be for great apres ski, food, live entertainment and music. It’s not going to be the cheapest lunch but if its bubbles and fine dining you are after, La Folie is a good place to start. The restaurant is part of the Folie Douce chain, so once you have finished your meal, you can choose not to hit the slopes again and go straight to the neighbouring Folie’s terrace to start your après ski!

L’Altiport

(Loup Blanc piste)

This Michelin-starred restaurant is a bit of a hidden gem and offers an authentic French ambience and refined menu. Head Chef Philippe creates dishes based on local & regional specialities, with great pastries and ice creams too. There’s space for 50 to eat inside and another 80 on the terrace. We recommend booking before you arrive.
