1. St Anton, Austria

Regarded as the apres capital of Europe, St Anton is the place to head if you’re looking for straight off the slopes parties. The open-air, slopeside bars are pumping well before the lifts close and you have plenty to choose from. The table dancing is pretty much compulsory at the Mooserwirt up on the slopes. Krazy Kanguruh brings out the champaign or Base Camp down in town would be our pick for live music.
The resort is just an hour by train from Innsbruck airport. The short transfer making St Anton ideal for a boys ski weekend. Plus the ski area is huge, a whopping 305km with a 22km ski circuit linking into Lech and Zurs.
2. Ischgl, Austria

Sticking with Austria and it’s post ski apres scene. Next, we have Ischgl again a short transfer from Innsbruck at 1.5 hours. Ischgl is St Anton a few years on. A slightly older crowd but by no means less lively. In fact, I think the parties are even wilder here if you can believe that. From the slopeside champaign bars to table dancing clubs. Ischgl is a stylish resort with a state of the art lift system to go with the bustling nightlife. With a resort motto of ‘Relax If You Can’ you know it’ll be lively.
Make sure you test out the smugglers ski route and maybe pick up a little duty-free on your troubles by skiing over into Switzerland and the town of Samnaun. Just don’t buy over your personal allowance as they may stop and fine you on the slopes if you do.
3. Val Thorens, France

Val Thorens is arguably the apres capital of French skiing. Home to the highest open-air club in Europe (Folie Douce) plus a roaring nightlife from the busy pubs such as the Frog and Roast Beef to the cavernous Malaysia nightclub which looks like a small shack on the piste. With the height of Val Thorens come snow reliability not only is it glacial but it is the highest resort in Europe and part of the largest linked ski area in the world.
The transfers from Geneva is on the longer side of things taking around 2.5 hours but it is worth it. The high altitude makes the resort a great option for late season boys weekends. in late March or even April, the slopeside parties are at their pinnacle with the apres decks bathed in sunshine and temperatures slightly warmer.
4. Sauze D’Oulx, Italy

Just over an hour from Turin airport, there are plenty of cheap flights during winter. Plus Italy, in general, is far cheaper in town and on the slopes that neighbouring France or Austria so you apres budget will go a lot further here.
Sauze d’Oulx has come away from its reputation as a pure party town. Its nightlife is great and there’s plenty of busy clubs to party the night away but the resort can be a loud or quiet as you want it. Which can be perfect if you’re not looking to party every night. You can find laid back wine bars and good restaurants in as much abundance as the apres bars and clubs. Add in the 320km of piste where you can ski over into France should you want to, and you have a very appealing resort for a weekend away.
5. Pas de la Casa, Andorra

Known to be cheap and cheerful, skiing in Andorra has come a long way in the last few years. Prices are still cheap but the resort has far more going for it now than just incredibly cheap beer. Pas de la Casa generally attracts a younger crowd and is Andorras wildest party town. If you’re looking for something a little quieter in Andorra then Soldeu, just over the hill, is another great option.
A sizeable 210km of piste is more than enough for a boys ski weekend plus the height of the resort, coupled with good snowmaking give it decent snow reliability too.
